As an expert in the LED field, Jiang Fengyi answered this question. He first popularized the common sense of LED for reporters. LED is a new light source with energy saving and environmental protection. It has high luminous efficiency and is much higher than traditional incandescent lamps and fluorescent lamps, so it is energy-saving.
"China's LED technology and industry have developed rapidly. Both technology and industry have entered the world's advanced ranks," he concluded.
On the one hand, from a technical point of view, the industrial light efficiency of China's white light semiconductors has been level with the world-class level; from the perspective of monochromatic light, the luminous efficiencies of red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue and purple light are all Has an international level, in which the yellow LED light effect leads the world;
On the other hand, from an industrial perspective, China is now the largest producer of LEDs and the largest consumer and largest exporter. The scale of production has exceeded 500 billion yuan. China's LED application last year saved nearly 140 billion kWh, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 120 million tons. The development of LED has made outstanding contributions to energy conservation and emission reduction.
Why is China's LED technology and industry developing so fast? In Jiang Fengyi's view, one is benefiting from the guidance of the state and embodies the advantages of our country's concentrated efforts to do big things.
“The country has formulated an overall strategy in the process of LED technology and industrial development. At the same time, technology tracking and technological innovation are laid out. When the core technology is still not mastered and it is not well mastered, it is mainly based on tracking, but at the same time it also has innovative layout. So now Tracking is also well tracked, there are also independent technologies for innovation, and there are new routes, some of which are leading technologies," he said.
The second is to benefit from the application-driven development strategy. When the core technology is not mastered, we use the core chips and good chips of the people to do the application, and then apply the upstream and midstream chips to the downstream application.
